Baumanburi Hotel Patong

The pool. Yes we love Thai hospitality, but the Baumanburi gets us regulalry for the lovely large, organically shaped pool and pool bar. We came here first time in 2011 and have come back twice since then. The rooms are fine and usual sizes for their designations, all with a nice little balcony viewing the pool, I do like we had both a shower and separate bath in a good sized bathroom. If you are a young children family and can afford it, grab a pool access room - awesome. Staff are helpful and friendly as always. Clean place, and nice hotel layout that shuts out the Pating surrounds by all looking inward. It is showing signs of wear, but still in good condition. Breakfast buffet is good. Location is good too, only a (large) block back from Patong Beach and less than a 10 minute walk from Bangla Road. Right next to O-Top shopping complex, which pretty much covers all your tourist shopping bits and pieces with a heap of shops and even a small food market (which was new for me - last here 2 years prior). Massage shops, pharmacy, currency exchange and restaurants/bars all nearby. There's a 7-11 jsut close by, but if you want alcohol drinks outside the hours they allow then there is a 24hr a few minutes walk the other way. Simply, we really like this hotel and its staff, the pool is brilliant. I am sure there a better and comparable pools, but this place gets our vote.

Room and communal areas such as swimming pool was outstanding and a lot more that we found in patong city.
